Department of Civil Engineering was started in the year 2009. Post Graduate Programme in Construction Management and Engineering was started in the year 2012. The Department has a team of experienced faculty members excel in specialized areas of Structural, Environmental, Water Resources and Construction Management.
The qualified faculty members extend their adequate support and guidance to the students of different calibre to enhance their understanding, analytical abilities and technical skills beyond the curriculum. The department has laboratories with modern machinery make this course useful for students to become good civil engineers. The department also provides technical and consultancy services to the society for the Civil Engineering related problems.

Civil Engineering Association was named after the famous Tamil Architect Raja RajaCholan as Rajarajacholan Association of Civil Engineers (RACE).It organizes lot of events like Guest Lectures, Symposium, Seminar and Workshops throughout the year.
